Stay safe with your little trick-or-treaters tonight. Here’s assignment reporter David Knutson with some safety tips… Tonight is the night. Trick-or-treating, jack-o-lanterns, scary decorations, and dressing up. Although Halloween is a fun holiday, you should make a few important safety precautions. Trick-or-treating is never as safe as a Halloween party, but if you do trick-or-treat, stay close to home, stay in well-lit areas, and only visit people you know. Do not walk around areas with high traffic; always make sure the road is clear and you can be seen if any traffic comes. Adults should check all candy, wrapped and unwrapped, before consumption. Any suspicious items should be set aside and you should contact the police department for further guidance. Have a safe and fun Halloween night!
