HALLOWEEN EVENTS IN TWENTYNINE PALMS AND JOSHUA TREE

The Twentynine Palms Park and Recreation Department is holding a Halloween fun fest Saturday, October 31, for children ages 10 and under. The fun fest will include games, candy, and a not-so-scary haunted house. This free event is presented as an alternative to traditional trick-or-treating. The event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Twentynine Palms Community Center, 74325 Joe Davis Drive. Call 760-367-7562 for more information.

Looking for a safe place for children to trick or treat? The United Methodist Church of Twentynine Palms will be hosting a trunk and treat in its parking lot at 6250 Mesquite Spring Road from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Trunks will be decorated and fun will abound. Come join them for a safe Halloween.

One80 Ministries will hold a harvest festival and chili contest Saturday, October 31. The entry fee for the chili cooking contest is only $5, and there are three categories: hot, mild, and soup. The harvest festival will include candy for the kids, games and a bounce house, face painting, and prizes. The festival starts at 4 p.m. One80 Ministries is located at 6414 Hallee Road in Joshua Tree.
