HALLOWEEN AND HARVEST ACTIVITIES ALL OVER OUR MORONGO BASIN TODAY

There will be Halloween- and harvest-themed activities throughout the Morongo Basin today, Wednesday, October 31.

In Yucca Valley, Valley Community Chapel will hold a harvest festival from 5 to 8 p.m. Kids are invited to bring a bag for candy. There will also be a hay ride, bounce house, maze, and games for all ages. The church is located at 59025 Yucca Trail.
One 80 Ministries will hold its annual harvest festival and chili contest Wednesday, October 31. The event starts at 5 p.m. Besides chili, there will be candy, prizes, karaoke with Sherrie Karr, and a free bicycle raffle. While the harvest festival is free, there is a $5 charge for the chili contest. One 80 Ministries is located at 6414 Hallee Road in Joshua Tree.
Twentynine Palms First Baptist Church will hold a harvest fest Wednesday, October 31, from 6 to 8 p.m. There will be games, candy, and free pulled pork sandwiches. The church is located at 6414 Split Rock Avenue in Twentynine Palms. The public is invited.
Another harvest festival will be held 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Joshua Springs Calvary Chapel on Joshua Lane in Yucca Valley. This family-friendly event will include pony rides, Bible Land, games, and candy.
Other harvest festivals are being held at Copper Mountain College in Joshua Tree from 5 to 8 p.m.; Sky View Chapel, 7475 Sunny Vista Road in Joshua Tree, from 5 to 8 p.m.; United Methodist Church of Twentynine Palms from 5 to 7 p.m., 6250 Mesquite Springs Road; and Calvary Chapel of Landers, 55474 New Dixie Mine Road, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Trunk or treat events will be held at First Christian Church, 56284 Buena Vista Drive, starting at 5 p.m.; Elite Cosmetology School, on Highway 62 in Yucca Valley, from 5 to 8 p.m.; and the Joshua Tree Sportsman’s Club on Sunburst Avenue in Joshua Tree, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
In addition, Hi-Desert Medical Center will have its treat jars ready for trick-or-treaters this Halloween. Multiple departments at the hospital will welcome trick-or-treaters from 4 to 7 p.m., as well as the Continuing Care Center, just up the hill from the hospital.
