It’s sure to be “hair-sterical”: an art show featuring hair-do sculptures by Jeff Hafler, owner of Joshua Tree’s Beauty Bubble salon and museum, and paintings of the hair-dos by Jane E. Herrold. Contributing artists in the show include Christie Carnes, David Greene, Lorelei Greene, Emily Hunter, Zach Kilian, Jane Maru, Kate McCabe, Karen Skiba, Nikki Virbitsky, and Mikal Winn. The show will be on display at La Matadora through June 2. An opening reception art party is set for Saturday, May 11, from 6 to 9 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to wear “big hair” or wigs. La Matadora is located right next to the Beauty Bubble, on the highway in downtown Joshua Tree.
