Gunfighters for Hire will start their winter performance season this Saturday, October 7, at 2:30 p.m. on Mane Street in Pioneertown. The winter schedule will consist of shows on the first and third Saturdays from October through May, weather and special events permitting. Gunfighters for Hire recently changed from a summer schedule on Sundays to a winter schedule on Saturdays, which should be more accommodating to visitors with better temperatures. Gunfighters for Hire is the oldest western reenactment group performing in Pioneertown. Gunfighters for Hire dress in period clothing and use real firearms that are also period correct. The shows are free in hopes of raising donations to help other needy organizations.
