Former Hi-Desert Star columnist Mary Sojourner will be reading her new novel “29” in a benefit for the Yucca Mesa Community Center. The benefit reading will be part of the community center’s monthly potluck and will begin at 6 p.m. on April 22. Ten percent of book sale profits will go to the Yucca Mesa Community Center. If you would like to participate, bring your favorite cooked meal or pick up something that can feed 8-10 people as well as a $1 donation.
