On Friday, November 15 Astronomer Jim O’Connor will share the history of astronomy from the rigorous investigations by Greeks and Arabs in developing solid geometry, to how the sky is a part of the spiritual life of Native Americans. The event will run from 7 to 9 p.m. at the 29 Palms Historical Society Founders Hall located at 6760 National Park Drive in Twentynine Palms. The presentation is open to the public, but space is limited. Admission is $10.
