The plans for the 2019 Grubstake Days rodeo have been finalized and sponsors are being sought, The rodeo will be Friday, May 24, and Saturday, May 25, at Hawks Landing, at the northeast corner of Yucca Trail and Inca in Yucca Valley. Gates open at 6 p.m. each day and show starts at 7 p.m.
Tickets go on sale April 15; $13 for adults, $10 for children 4-10 years old; and children 3 and under are free. Tickets at the gate will be $15 for adults; children 4-10 are $10; and 3 and under are free Seating is limited to 1500. Parking will be $5. On Saturday, May 25, tickets will be sold at a reduced price between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.: $5 for adults and $3 for children.
A Stylish Affair in Yucca Valley will sell VIP tickets for $65. Each includes dinner, beverage, and parking, and only 30 will be available each day.
The rodeo will feature bulls, bareback, mini bulls, mutton busting, barrel racing, and much more. Saturday night will have a live band and dance following the rodeo. Mutton busting is for children 50 pounds or less; children will be weighed when checking in. Only 10 kids per day; the cost is $10 each and the winners will receive buckles.
