It’s Grubstake Days in Yucca Valley this weekend. The carnival will be in town at the corner of Hilton Avenue and Highway 62 from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and 1 to 8 p.m. on Monday. The rodeo will be at Homestead Valley Park in Landers Saturday night. The gates open at 5 p.m. and events start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for children ages 4 to 12, and children 3 and under get in free. Following the rodeo is a dance; admission to the rodeo gets you into the dance or pay $5 at the door. Sunday is the 10K/5K run and 2K walk, starting at 8 a.m. at Yucca Valley High School. Registration is $25 and starts at 7 a.m. Monday is Kids’ Day at the Boys and Girls Club on Little League Drive in Yucca Valley. From 11 to 2 enjoy water games, team and individual games, prizes, bounce houses and more.
