GROCERY CARDS AVAILABLE FOR YUCCA VALLEY, MORONGO VALLEY, AND LANDERS RESIDENTS

Due to a lack of funds, Desert Hills Presbyterian’s Food Pantry has closed.  Thanks to donations, however, Stater Brothers cards are still available, but only to residents of Yucca Valley, Morongo Valley, and Landers.  As the goal of the program is to provide temporary help to recipients by giving them time to seek a more permanent solution, those who have received a card three or more times are not eligible to receive another.

Those who qualify may call Pastor Wayne at 760-365-6331, tomorrow, February 17, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., to reserve a Stater Brothers card.  Cards are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis until gone, and they cannot be reserved in advance.  Those who call before 9 a.m. will not be considered.

Persons who will be receiving cards will be called back to arrange their pick-up at the church the next day.  Those who do not receive a call back should try again next month.  In the meantime, they are happy to provide lists of the food programs and pantries that are currently operating in our area.
