What might have been a routine probation check turned into a felony arrest Tuesday when officers from the San Bernardino County Probation Dept. found two rounds of live ammunition and a grenade launcher at an apartment in Twentynine Palms.
According to sheriff’s reports, Robert Kote Aldus, 25, was arrested for investigation of possession of a destructive device after the ammo and weapon were discovered at his home in the 73900 block of Two Mile Road about 3 p.m. Aldus was booked into the Morongo Jail with his bail set at $35,000.
