Some 400 AP students and 50 AP teachers from high schools throughout San Bernardino County will benefit from the “Growing Inland Achievement” grant through a partnership with the University of California, Riverside. Over the next two-year, the $150,000 grant will offer supplemental support for Advanced Placement students countywide. According to County Superintendent Ted Alejandre, the grant will provide needed support for teachers to help more students enroll in AP programs and pass their AP tests, resulting in students becoming more college ready and more ready to meet the demands of today’s work force.
