Director John Wright, and assistant director Lizzie Schmelling hold auditions for the Theatre 29 Summer Youth Theater production, “The Perils of Goldilocks,” 2 one act plays performed for and by local youth. The first “Goldilocks” is a comic spin on the classic tale. Goldilocks is once again confronted by the Three Bears…and Joe, the Bears’ species exchange student. This fresh adaptation teaches the meaning of responsibility. After intermission, the second show is “Goldilocks on Trial”. Will she be found guilty and go to prison or will the truth come out? Wright & Schmelling are looking for 20 performers from age 8 through adults plus a backstage crew. Auditions are at 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 6th, at Theatre 29. “The Perils of Goldilocks” will run from June 28 to July 27, 2013, Friday and Saturday evenings at 7.
