Girls in kindergarten through eighth grade are invited to join the girls’ club at the United Methodist Church in Yucca Valley. The club, Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior, or GEMS, meets from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesday evenings. The kick-off party is Tuesday, September 9, and will include crafts, face painting, finger nail painting, hopscotch, sidewalk art, and refreshments. There is no cost to join and membership is open to girls of all denominations. A parent or guardian must accompany girls for registration.
