Royce Jones is a wilderness patroller with Mt. San Jacinto State Park, a search-and-rescue position who offers guidance and help to park visitors when needed. He will discuss the 10 essentials that everyone should know before they go out on a hike. Be prepared for the weather: Don’t hike in the snow while wearing shorts and tennis shoes. He’ll also discuss what to do if you find your self in an emergency situation. This Zoom presentation will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 11. The lecture is free, but donations are welcome.
