German artist Johanna Wagner will host the artist’s tea in Joshua Tree National Park tomorrow. Wagner will start the program using sand, water, and silk to deal with the notions of time, and will end with a living picture. After a brief talk about her art and techniques, the audience will be invited to participate in a video performance that addresses the use of binary code and the realm of digital time. The artist’s tea starts at 9 a.m. at Cap Rock in Joshua Tree National Park. Bring your own mug for the tea.
