“Georgia O’Keefe,” the third in a series of biographical dramas on great artists by award winning playwright Dolores Becker-Trost debuted at the Groves Cabin Theatre in Morongo Valley Saturday, May 4, to begin a three week run. Starring the remarkable Joy Groves in the title role, “Georgia O’Keefe” details the life of the famed artist and follows her struggle to find her own unique artistic voice. Co-starring with Groves as the noted photographer and O’Keefe’s husband Alfred Stieglitz is Lloyd Steele. Rounding out the cast are Sue Bradley, Anja Homberg, Velma Demaray, Scott Cutler and Rhonda Peterson, who also serves as Stage Manager. Lighting is by Darin Eldridge with sound design by Wendy Cohen. Also directed by Ms. Becker-Trost, “Georgia O’Keefe” runs through May 19th with performances Saturday’s at 7 pm and Sunday afternoons at 2:30 pm. Tickets are $12 each for all seats and early reservations are a must as only 22 seats are available per show!
