GEOCACHING

Combine scavenger hunts with the great outdoors and a high-tech assist, and you have: Geocaching! Reporter Mike Lipsitz tells how you learn more about it…
Geocaching is an outdoor treasure hunting game. Participants use a set of GPS coordinates to navigate to a hidden geocache. The Mojave Water Agency is sponsoring a free session called “The Adventure of Geocaching.” Learn how to use a GPS device or GPS- enabled mobile phone to search for sites. It all happens Tuesday, July 23 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Mojave Water Agency on Conference Center Drive in Apple Valley. For information or to register, contact Gloria at 760-946-7001 or at ggolike@mojavewater. For Z107.7 News, this is assignment reporter Mike Lipsitz.
