The Geminid meteor shower will shine brightly tonight with almost no obscuring moonlight. The most meteors will appear in the hours after midnight, although you can see a good show right after sunset. It is the brightest shower of the year with anywhere from 50 to 100 shooting stars streaking across the sky every hour. If you trace back the shooting stars to a single point, the Geminids appear to radiate from the constellation Gemini in the southeastern sky.
