GAUGE KIME OF YUCCA VALLEY HIGH SHOOTS CAREER LOW OF 2 UNDER PAR IN GOLF LAST WEEK

Gauge Kime of Yucca Valley High School shot a career low of two under par in golf to lead the Trojans to a victory of Coachella High School April 14. The Trojans won 218-236, and are 2-0 for the season.

Coach Jeff Evans said, “Gauge played lights out and it was a pleasure to watch a player who has worked so hard, put together a full round of golf. That is a number that most people who play golf will never shoot, and he deserves that number. I couldn’t be happier for him.”

Coach Jason Harvey said, “A score of 2 under is the lowest score I’ve had on my team in my coaching career. The best thing about it, is that in my post-match discussion with Gauge, he immediately made me aware of the two bogies that he made, and the strokes that he left on the course. Even though that was his career low, he is still motivated to get better, and I know he can.”

Yucca Valley High School travels to Desert Hot Springs on Wednesday, April 21.
