GAS POLE VANDALISM IN YUCCA VALLEY EARLY THURSDAY

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a gas meter transmission pole in Yucca Valley that was cut down sometime Thursday night. Deputies were called to the intersection of Navajo Trail and Chaparral Drive at 7:45 a.m. where they found the pole lying in the road. Evidence indicated that the pole had been cut down by a chainsaw and a box was missing from the pole. Damage was estimated at $10,000.
