GAS ASSISTANCE FUND EXTENDED

With many people thrown out of work when the COVID-19 crisis forced countless businesses to shut down, some people couldn’t afford to pay their utility bills. Southern California Gas has announced it has extended its gas assistance fund program. Reporter Rebecca Havely tells us more…

This has been a difficult time for many who are stretching their finances to pay bills. SoCalGas’s Gas Assistance Fund program usually closes in April, but the fund has been extended into the fall months. The one-time grant awards have also been doubled from $100 to $200. As a reminder, SoCalGas has suspended service disconnections until further notice. This means no residential or small business customer will have their natural gas service turned off due to non-payment. More information, including how to apply, is available at socalgas.com/Gaf
