Gala opening “Nuncrackers” kicks off 2025-26 season for Theatre 29
Opening night for “Nuncrackers: The Nunsense Christmas Musical” at Theatre 29 will be a special fundraiser for the Morongo Basin’s premier live theater venue. The gala event will feature holiday-themed refreshments, live and silent auction items and lots of holiday cheer. The event will raise funds needed for ongoing upgrades to the theater’s infrastructure, including major improvements to the aging sound system.
The opening night gala is set for Friday, November 21, with doors open at 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. curtain. In the hilarious “Nuncrackers,” directed by Nena Jimenez, Christmas is right around the corner, and the little sisters of Hoboken are thrilled to be taping their first “TV Special” in the Cable Access Studio in the convent basement. As the cameras roll and the show progresses, it quickly spirals out of control, taking a series of unexpected twists and turns; all leading to a laugh-filled finale.
Tickets for the gala opening event are $45.00 for General Admission available at theatre29.org. Afterwards, performances through December 7th will be available at regular prices. “Nuncrackers” is rated 10+.
