After providing donation boxes throughout the Morongo Basin where new or gently worn shoes will be given to children in need between six and eighteen years old, Joshua Tree’s multipurpose event space Furstwurld has reported a successful conclusion to their winter Shoe Drive.

In their recent newsletter, Furstwurld board president Robbi Robb reported over 400 pairs of shoes donated with more on the way, and $3500 raised from monetary donations to be traded into shoe vouchers at Marshalls. Furstwurld wishes to thank the Joshua Tree Sportsman’s Lodge for their generous donation, as well as the drive’s sponsors EVA SOLTES at HARRISON HOUSE and JERRY at SKY HIGH PIE, to the drop off sites and helpers Dawn at Soul Connection and Linda at Joshua Tree Health Foods, and special thanks to Wayne Hamilton for all the work he does in helping the unhoused in the Morongo basin
