April Michelle Zanin of Yucca Valley died December 3. She was 41. April Zanin is survived by her husband David; her two sons, David Zanin II, and Derrick Zanin; her father Jerry Denton; brother Justin Denton; and many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her mother Patricia Trujillo, and her grandparents, Alfonzo and Vera Trujillo, and Gerald and Marjorie Denton. April Zanin was a child supervisor at Yucca Valley Elementary School, and a dedicated soccer team mother for her sons. She also cared for the elderly at the Yucca Valley Rehabilitation Center. Her favorite hobbies were hiking, traveling, making scrapbooks, and cross-fit. A funeral service for April Zanin is set for 11 a.m. Friday, January 8, at Wiefels Funeral Home in Yucca Valley, followed by a burial service at Joshua Tree Memorial Park.
