Scott Cutler of Joshua Tree died February 8. He was 53 years old. Scott Cutler is survived by his husband, Steve Pratt; his mother, Charleen Anton of Las Vegas; father Richard Cutler of Carson City, Nevada; sister Lisa Cutler; brother Todd Cutler, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Scott Cutler and his husband owned and operated the Sacred Sands bed and breakfast in Joshua Tree. He was active in the Joshua Tree Chamber of Commerce, and on the board of directors for the Joshua Tree Living Arts. He worked at the women’s shelter in Joshua Tree and at the mental health center in Yucca Valley. Scott Cutler was also active in local community theater, appearing at the Hi-Desert Cultural Center in Joshua Tree and at Groves Cabin Theater in Morongo Valley. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help offset expenses.
