FRIDAY LECTURE ON GENERAL PATTON TRAINING TROOPS IN THE DESERT

On Friday, October 12 at 7 p.m., come join historian Sid Burks, who will tell the story of the Desert Training Center (DTC) launched by General George S. Patton, where a million men trained to fight in the deserts of North Africa and other conflicts. Sid Burks is a retired community college teacher and is currently teaching full-time for Cal State, San Bernardino. This lecture is open to the public and costs $5 per person at the door and will be held at the Old Schoolhouse Museum, 6760 National Park Drive, in Twentynine Palms.
