Defending the California Desert is a workshop that will teach how to fight inappropriate development on public land and craft meaningful comments to decision makers. Set for Saturday, May 18 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Yucca Valley Community Center, environmental lawyers and conservationists will use active, participatory learning and focus on the National Environmental Policy Act which guides decision making in our national parks, monuments and a variety of public lands. The workshop is being offered at this time because more advocates are needed to defend the desert. To register write [email protected] by May 12.
