Free tax assistance and free money – two things many Californians could probably use this year. In the final days of tax season, working families are reminded of tax credits available to them, including the Earned Income Tax Credit, which thousands of Californians fail to claim each year. California Attorney General Xavier Becerra says in these hard times, another way for Californians to keep their hard-earned money is to take advantage of free services like the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance centers set up throughout the state. “
