Tonight on the big screen in Luckie Park is the movie “Pete’s Dragon.” This 2016 update tells the story of a boy found in a forest. He’s been living there for six years after an accident took his parents. A ranger named Grace takes him in and when she asks him how he survived all by himself, he says he had a friend, Elliot, with him. He draws a picture of Elliot and it’s a picture of a dragon. The movie starts at 8:30 .p.m, at the north end of the racquetball court, with refreshments offered by the Twentynine Palms Youth Club.
