AFA CyberCamp #1
AFA CyberCamp #2

AFA CyberCamps emphasize fun, hands-on learning of cybersecurity principles that are relevant and applicable to everyday life. At CyberCamp, students learn the importance of cyber safety and how to protect their personal devices and information from outside threats. The AFA CyberCamp curriculum was first piloted during the summer of 2014. CyberPatriot supported camps at twenty-four schools and organizations during the inaugural season of the AFA CyberCamp Program in summer 2015 and will have over 75 camps in the summer of 2016.

1-5 August 2016

Lunch will be served. Transportation is NOT available.

Week 2 (Robotics & Engineering)
Camp Instructors: Doug Walters & Andrew Krause
The Virtual World of Robotics
Come dive into the virtual worlds of robotics as you learn to program and build physical robots that will obey your every command with exactness.  Together we will learn to use the same language that is being used today by JPL and NASA to move the robots on Mars – ROBOTC.  If you are a Boy Scout, earn your Robotics Merit Badge. You will learn to build virtual world levels to create challenges for your robot to complete. Prepare for an in-class competition to see if you and your robots have what it takes to survive the “Real World.”

Dream Home Design, (Engineering)
Have you ever thought about designing, engineering, and constructing the home of your dreams? Maybe you don’t consider yourself and artist or an engineer. You can learn and it is not as hard as you think!  In this summer camp, you will learn how to design a home, the landscaping, and other design options of your choice all on a simple and powerful program used in the Home Design Industry called Chief Architect Home Design Software. In addition, you will learn about construction management practices, cost estimation of a project, basic engineering skills and more.

8-11 August 2016 (Monday through Thursday)
9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (Daily)
Lunch will be served. Transportation is NOT available.
