This year’s Community Back-to-School day will include a variety of free services to students, including a back pack giveaway and dental screenings, service information for homeless or displaced students and families, local youth programs, and more. There will also be a free shuttle to the Morongo Basin Community Health Center for students to receive required immunizations. Students must be present for the backpack giveaway and must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to receive immunizations. The event will be held on Friday, August 10, from 9 a.m. to noon at the JT Sportsman’s Club, 6225 Sunburst Avenue in Joshua Tree.
