“Another Plan From Outer Space,” a sci-fi thriller filmed entirely in Wonder Valley, will screen locally at Smith’s Ranch Drive-In tomorrow. Shot in black and white, the low-budget production depicts five astronauts who have crash-landed on Earth after completing their Mars mission. The film has had two previous screenings and the feedback has been encouraging. Executive producer Hans Hernke says he hopes local residents really enjoy seeing a retro-style film shot in their own backyard. “This will be really exciting to see a black-and-white retro film on a big screen at a drive-in theater.”
The free screening of “Another Plan From Outer Space” at Smith’s Drive-In in Twentynine Palms will be on Monday, October 22 at 7 p.m.
