And later on Tuesday, free food will be distributed from 10 to noon at the 29 Palms Food Pantry, and from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Spirit and Truth Worship Center, 4751 Adobe Road, in Twentynine Palms.

A distribution of free food will be held tomorrow and the first and third Tuesdays of each month at the new Joshua Tree Elementary School, 4950 Sunburst Avenue, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.

The distribution of free USDA surplus food in Wonder Valley is also set for tomorrow (Tuesday, April 21). The food distribution is from 10 to noon, or whenever the food runs out, which is usually about 11. Low-income Wonder Valley residents self-certify on site. Residents may pick up one box for a neighbor if a signed pick-up form is presented. Please wear a face mask. The distribution will be held at the Wonder Valley Community Center on Amboy Road, next to the fire station. For more information, call 760-367-9880.

Pick-up forms are available online at http://tinyurl.com/wv-pickup-form. They are also available at the WVCC on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and at the kiosk outside the WVCC the week before the event.
