The Santa Fe Social clubhouse in Yucca Valley will distribute free surplus food Wednesday, September 2, starting at 3 p.m. until the food is gone. The food is distributed first-come, first-serve. There will be drive-through and walk-up distributions. Please stay in your car until your turn; the walk-up line is for people who do not have a vehicle. You must be able to pick up your own food box; staff will not be available to bring food to your car. Everyone is required to wear a mask. Dress for the weather and bring your own drinking water. The Friends of Wonder Valley will distribute bags of groceries Wednesday, September 2, at the Wonder Valley Community Center. The distribution is from 10 to 11 a.m., or until the food is gone. The food distribution is for Wonder Valley residents only. Residents should wear a mask and stay in their cars. Residents may pick up one bag for a neighbor. The community center is located on Amboy Road next to the fire station.
