FREE FOOD AND ENERGY ASSISTANCE HELP IN WONDER VALLEY TOMORROW

Wonder Valley residents who could use assistance with groceries and utilities can find help with both tomorrow. Reporter Mike Lipsitz tells how…
The Salvation Army Food Distribution begins at 11 a.m. tomorrow, November 28, at the Wonder Valley Community Center on Amboy Road between the Fire Station and the palm tree cell tower in Wonder Valley. Distribution is first come first served, ends when there is no more food, and is limited to Wonder Valley residents who self-certify on site. Wednesday’s distribution will be “shopping style” where participants take what they like from a selection of food from Trader Joe’s. A Salvation Army staffer will be available to assist anyone wishing to apply for Southern California Edison’s Energy Assistance Fund which provides up to $100 toward an electric bill for those who qualify.
