This Saturday, Reach Out Morongo Basin, in partnership with Morongo Basin Community Organizations Active in Disaster, will host the Southern California Edison-sponsored “Be Aware, Be Prepared 29” event. This family event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Twentynine Palms Senior Center at 6539 Adobe Road. You will learn about food storage, solar energy, first aid kits, emergency planning, and more from a number of organizations and businesses. The Twentynine Palms Water District, American Red Cross, Z107.7FM, and the Twentynine Palms Fire Department are just a few of the organizations and businesses who will be at the event to educate the public about how to prepare for a variety of emergencies.
