Hey kids, you want to be in a show but don’t know what this auditioning thing is all about? No problem as Theatre 29 has announced a cool new youth theatre workshop designed to help budding actors learn the audition process. This three-day workshop will run from July 22nd through the 24th at the theater on Sullivan Road in Twentynine Palms. Each day’s class runs for two hours and there are two sessions per day, one for ages 6 to12 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. the other for 13 to17 year olds from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Topics covered include theatre history and vocabulary, cold line readings, music, dance and more. Other stage activities are also planned. Space is limited so early sign-ups are encouraged. Parental permission and registration slips will be available at the theater box office during the run of “The Peril’s of Goldilocks” this month or can be found at Theatre29.org, Remember, the first step to stardom is getting a part and that begins with auditioning!
