The Mojave Desert Land Trust will hold another free campfire lecture about the Mojave Desert Friday, January 31. The talk will be about outdoor ethics, such as learning how to be an ecologically friendly explorer, and learning how to be properly equipped for travel in the desert. The campfire talk is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Mojave Desert Land Trust headquarters, on the highway across from the Joshua Tree cemetery, in Joshua Tree. The last talk will be held February 8 at the Twentynine Palms Visitors Center on how families can explore and protect the desert.
