FOUR SHERIFF’S DEPUTIES PLACED ON LEAVE IN FBI INVESTIGATION

0

This Monday and Tuesday, four San Bernardino County deputy sheriffs involved in a West Valley Detention Center investigation by the FBI were placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation into mistreatment of inmates. In March, Sheriff John McMahon ordered an internal investigation into the allegations. A special task force was created to conduct the investigation. The complexity of an investigation such as this can be lengthy but will ensure a thorough investigation is completed. The FBI is the primary investigative agency in regards to any possible criminal charges. The law prohibits the release of details regarding personnel investigations and the Sheriff’s Department can not release the names of involved personnel.
