FOUR PEOPLE ARRESTED IN THREE UNRELATED CHILD ABUSE CASES

Four people were arrested in three unrelated child abuse cases yesterday. According to Sheriff reports, Allison Feldman, 25, of the 6500 block of Sierra Avenue in Joshua Tree, is accused of hitting her husband and child Wednesday night, causing minor injuries. Allison Feldman was arrested for investigation of cruelty to a child about 10:40 Thursday morning, booked at West Valley Detention Center with her bail set at $100,000.

In Landers, a neighbor reported about 7:50 Thursday morning that a young toddler was being left unattended in the 59000 block of Ira Lane. The boy was seen running up and down the street in just a diaper with a parent nowhere to be seen. A second, younger toddler was also alone. After an investigation, Elizabeth Hake, 22, and Charles Pittman, 31, were arrested on suspicion of cruelty to a child, booked at the West Valley Detention Center, with their bail set at $100,000 each.

And in Twentynine Palms, school officials notified police when a student had marks and bruises on her legs that she said were caused by her father hitting her with a belt. After an investigation, Russell Pasos, 41, was arrested on suspicion of cruelty to a child. Russell Pasos was released after posting $100,000 bail.
