FOUR LANDERS HOMES RAIDED FOR ILLEGAL MARIJUANA CULTIVATION, 2 ARRESTS

Two men were arrested, and 66 pounds of pot and 267 plants were seized during drug raids at four homes in Landers Friday. Sheriff’s deputies from the Marijuana Enforcement Team served search warrants at homes in the 55700 block of Linn Road, 3600 block of Acoma Trail, 4100 block of Sunrise Avenue, and 4700 block of White Avenue. The marijuana plants and harvested pot had been removed from the premises in the 3600 block of Acoma Trail before deputies arrived. Say Saeng, 43, and Banlang Sayachack, 59, both of Landers, were arrested on suspicion of illegal marijuana cultivation, cited and released. The Sheriff’s Department notes that all the locations were violating county ordinances against marijuana cultivation. The Sheriff’s Department is searching for additional suspects.
