FOUR ARRESTED IN SHOULDER TAP STING OPERATION

Four people were cited during a shoulder-tap sting in Yucca Valley and Twentynine Palms over the weekend. According to a Sheriff’s press release, underage juveniles, under the supervision of Sheriff’s deputies, asked strangers at several liquor stores to buy alcohol or tobacco for them. Deputies made four citations for furnishing alcohol to a minor at Ocotillo Avenue and Highway 62, and Desert Queen Avenue in Twentynine Palms; and at Bannock and Santa Fe Avenue, and the 58100 block of Highway 62 in Yucca Valley. Two people were cited for furnishing tobacco to a minor, and one person was cited for resisting arrest and for possession of a controlled substance.
