FOUR ARRESTED FOR DRUGS IN THREE INCIDENTS

A Twentynine Palms man is in a whole lot of trouble after police went to a Twentynine Palms home to arrest him on a warrant for driving without a license. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies went to the 6600 block of Smoketree Avenue about 2:20 Saturday afternoon to arrest Jamiek Baker on a warrant for driving without a license and failure to appear in court. The report states that Baker resisted arrest but was eventually detained. During a search of the residence, deputies found marijuana and methamphetamine. Because four juveniles lived at the home and had access to the drugs, Jamiek Baker was arrested for child endangerment and for his warrant. He was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his total bail set at $125,000.

A traffic stop for an obscured license plate ended in an arrest of two women for drug possession. According to a Sheriff’s report, Kari Sukane, 52, was stopped at Joshua Lane and Yucca Trail in Yucca Valley about 9 p.m. Saturday for having an obscured license plate. Sukane is on felony probation on a prior drug charge. The deputy determined that Sukane was under the influence of narcotics, and she was arrested for investigation of possession of narcotics. During a search of the vehicle, the report states the deputy found suspected methadone pills hidden on the passenger, Jessica Sukane, 21, who was also arrested. Both women were booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, where suspected heroin was also found on Jessica Sukane.

A man who was stopped for riding his bicycle at night without lights was arrested after a deputy located weapons and drugs on him. According to a Sheriff’s report, Terry Siefker, 23, was riding his bicycle about 11 p.m. Saturday near Cholla Avenue and Center Street in Joshua Tree when a deputy stopped him for riding without lights. During a search, the deputy found a knife under his shirt, a spring-loaded knife and a loaded 5-shot pistol in his rear pocket. The report also states that narcotics and drug paraphernalia were found in another pocket, and that Siefker admitted he had been using methamphetamine earlier. Terry Siefker was arrested for investigation of being under the influence of drugs, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
