Wednesday, October 14, local author Joseph Zarki will speak at the Hi-Desert Nature Museum in Yucca Valley for the Historical Society’s lecture series. Zarki is a retired Park Ranger. His presentation is “Joshua Tree National Park: Some of …the Rest of the Story.” He expounds on his 2015 book, “Images of America” with additional photos and interesting, unpublished stories. A book signing will follow the lecture. The lecture begins at 5:30 p.m. Donation is $5. The Hi-Desert Nature Museum is in Yucca Valley at 57116 29 Palms Hwy.
