The sentencing date has been postponed to April 24, 2020.
A Rancho Cucamonga jury found a former Marine guilty Friday of murdering another Marine in Twentynine Palms last year. William Olivo, 27, stabbed and killed Dominique Clement, 21, in military housing on Joe Davis Drive February 5, 2018. Arriving deputies found Olivo outside the apartment, holding a knife. The jury deliberated for three days before returning a guilty verdict of second-degree murder, making criminal threats, and dissuading a witness, along with an enhancement of using a weapon. Dominique Clement was a Marine stationed at the Marine Corps Communication-Electronics School on board the Combat Center in Twentynine Palms at the time of his death, and Olivo was discharged from the Marine Corps in 2015. A sentencing hearing for William Olivo is set for January 24.
