FOOD GIVEAWAYS THIS WEEK IN THE MORONGO BASIN

If you live in the Morongo Basin and are receiving groceries from a food pantry, but still need help, a limited number of Stater Brothers cards will be available this month at Desert Hills Presbyterian Church, on a first-come-first-served basis until they are gone.

If you have never received a card or have received a card only once or twice in the past, you may reserve a card by calling Pastor Wayne, at 760-365-6331, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM, on Thursday, October 21.  Those who have received a card three or more times are asked to wait until 10:00 A.M. to call.  (Please do not call before 9:00 AM on October 21, as cards cannot be reserved in advance.)

Those for whom cards are reserved will be called back, and arrangements will be made for picking the cards up.  The church’s small Food Pantry will be open to all in need, whether or they receive Stater Bros cards or not, on Friday, October 22, from 10:00 to 11:00.

Other food giveaways are also available tomorrow (October 19). Locations include the 29 Palms Community Pantry & Outreach, Copper Mountain Mesa, the Wonder Valley Community Center, and the Spirit and Truth Worship Center. For a list of addresses and times, see this story online at z1077fm.com.
