FIVE TWENTYNINE PALMS AREA ART GALLERIES HOST “ART CRUISE” THIS SATURDAY

The Art Cruise 29! event, held on the first Saturday of each month in Twentynine Palms, will feature five local galleries. The public is invited to visit the galleries and exhibitions, meet the artists, and enjoy artistic hospitality. Admission is free to all events. Artomotive Gallery on the corner of 29 Palms Highway and National Park Drive will feature the works of Sheliah Bailey, Jaime Dannie, Becky Ruiz, and Heather Sprague, with art and refreshments from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The 29 Palms Art Gallery will celebrate February’s featured artists Janis Commentz, Hunter Johnson, Dennis Johnson, and Artists’ Guild members at an opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m. at the gallery, 74055 Cottonwood Drive at National Park Drive.
The Glass Outhouse Art Gallery in Wonder Valley features the work of artists Jessie Keylon and Marine Walton and will host an opening reception from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday. The Glass Outhouse is approximately four miles east of downtown on 29 Palms Highway at Thunder Road.
At the 29 Palms Visitor Center and Chamber of Commerce, the gallery continues its Military Musings exhibition. The visitor center is located at 73484 29 Palms Hwy at Desert Queen Avenue downtown and is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Other work is available at 29 Palms Creative Center and Gallery, which will be open for art demonstrations, classes, and art shopping at 6847 Adobe Road from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, plus the complete 2019 schedule and a map of the galleries, see the Art Cruise 29 page of the city’s visitor website, www.visit29.org.
