FIVE SOUGHT AFTER BURGLARIES AT TWO GAS STATION CONVENIENCE STORES

The Sheriff’s Department says that five people who burglarized a gas station convenience store in Morongo Valley Monday night also burglarized a Yucca Valley gas station convenience store. At 11:26, four suspects—one woman and three men—broke the glass entry door of the Sinclair gas station in the 55700 block of 29 Palms Highway. Once inside the store, they stole large quantities of cigarettes and other items. They fled in a dark-colored sedan, which waited nearby with an unknown get-away driver. Then at 11:49, the same suspects broke the front door of the All-American convenience store in Morongo Valley, entered, and stole cigarettes, the cash register, and other items. Detectives say the woman wore a sweatshirt with the word “Pink” on the front. One man wore a jacket that said “NASA” on it, and had tattoos on his right arm and hand. The two other burglars wore a light-colored sweatshirt and dark pants. Nothing is known of the driver of the get-away car. Anyone with information is asked to call Sheriff’s Deputy Gonzales or Deputy Stucki at 760-366-4175.
