FIVE INJURED IN YUCCA VALLEY TRAFFIC CRASH THURSDAY NIGHT

Five people were injured in a traffic collision in Yucca Valley late Thursday night. The Sheriff’s Department says that about 11:30 p.m., a 26-year-old woman was driving a Nissan Juke eastbound in the 56100 block of Highway 62 when she rear-ended a Honda HR-V at about 50 miles per hour. The 42-year-old driver of the Honda had stopped to allow a pedestrian to cross a driveway on the sidewalk in front of a near-by bar when the collision occurred. As a result of the collision, both drivers and three male passengers were taken to Hi-Desert Medical Center with minor injuries.
